Any mini pet that was giving out in a limited amount will always rise in price, the rate of the price rise will depend on how many of them are circulating throughout the game

In guru's Ventari section under Price Checks is a stickied thread on mini pricing. Any mini that is no longer available except from another player will rise in price.

While polar bears & Nicholas' mini-pets are still available they are rare and the price will drop too slowly to be measured.

only those that cannot be obtained via birthday presents / permanent quests. (i.e. Kuunvang, Asura, Gray Giant, Panda, Vizu, Zhed, etc.)

don't forget my Mini Destroyer....

I agree with what was said above. Example is there is a 4th year Green selling for 400,000 gold now in the auctions. That will go down as more and more people get them.

Example there is the Mini Gwen 2nd year Green. It was going for 100K +80 ectos when it first came out and now I have an offer on one in the auctions for a piddly 50K.

So ones that will never bee seen again will go up dramatically if anyone could calculate how many there were and how many have been dedicated.

Yep, I learned this the hard way:

Sell any minipet that you can get in game right away if you want top price (birthday, Traveler's gifts, drops, etc.)

Hold on to collectable, exclusive minipets as they will only get more valuable (although, I suppose it's always possible Anet will re-release the mini Kunnivang from Faction CE, it's not likely).

Even the originally unpopular ones like Varesh & Grey Giant are going up in price, because they aren't available anymore.

Agreed with everything said so far.
However, I've been speculating for years now that although the mini Kunnivang will keep going up in price for a while, once the year 2012 rolls around, we will have a whole slew of new knockoff Kunnivang's, as that year is the year of the dragon in the Canthan New Year Celebration. That means we will get a bunch of mini celestial dragons that will cause a big hit in the value of Kunni.

Well only one lady has the nitch on the mini's market. She has the most expensive ones... she acually has 3 differant ones they are all priceless. So if you can talk Gail out of her frogs you will be the richest person in guildwars.

Everything that cannot be restocked will eventually rise in price.
All the others will drop.

Big hit? As in it loses value?

If anything, when everyone in 2012 has a Celestial Kuunavang, the regular Kuuna will be even more special.

I agree. People will be looking to get the original since they have the newer version and the price will skyrocket. I'm still working on getting an Unded one. Its one of the few mini's I don't have.
